Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Giménez meets Pets’ Trust mascot Pepe Sal

The mayor of Miami-Dade County held a private meeting in his office today with the Pets’ Trust Miami mascot Pepe Sal and I had an exclusive photo session with them.

This unprecedented event was important because it preceded the County Commissioners’ decision whether or not to recommend a ruling that would help with our county’s stray animal population.  The final decision will be made in November’s election.  The commission voted unanimously 13-0 to pass the straw ballot which is a non-binding resolution.

The Miami Herald did an excellent article covering today’s event:

If you would like to volunteer or donate to the Pets’ Trust Miami, check out their website.

What’s your opinion with the stray animal population in Miami-Dade county? Other thoughts on this issue?

I get hired to photograph people, specifically portraiture, and have have had private portrait sessions with many prominent people which YOU CAN VIEW HERE.
